June 25, 2025 brought a fast-moving and damaging hail storm to Denver and several nearby communities, including Thornton, Frederick, Broomfield, and areas along Highway 52 and I-25. Residents across the region woke up to dented vehicles, as hail as large as quarter-size (1.0”) rained down in the late evening hours.
If your car, truck, or SUV was outside during the storm, there's a high chance it was hit by hail—some damage may be immediately visible, while other dents or cracks can be easy to miss at first glance.
📍 Areas Most Affected
The storm delivered some hail to the following areas:
Thornton – widespread vehicle damage reported in neighborhoods and business districts
Frederick & Hwy 52 corridor – heavy hail accumulation and glass breakage on larger vehicles
Broomfield – shattered sunroofs and dented hoods on SUVs and trucks
North Denver & I-25 interchanges – intense bursts of hail with high winds causing deeper pitting and paint chips
From cracked glass to deep roof dents, we’ve already seen the kind of damage this storm left behind.
