May, June, and July of 2024 brought a series of intense hailstorms to the Colorado Springs, CO area. It felt like every time we turned on the local news, another round of damaging hail was slamming the Colorado Springs and surrounding area—some of it big enough to shatter glass and dent vehicles in seconds.

On May 30, powerful thunderstorms rolled across Colorado Springs, dropping hail up to 2.25 inches in diameter. That’s bigger than a golf ball—more than enough to dent hoods, crack windshields, and chip paint on cars, trucks, and SUVs. With 11 hail reports across the region, it was one of the more widespread events of the 2024 season.

Then came June. Wow, it was an eventful month.

On June 8, another powerful system moved through with hail as large as 3.75 inches —approaching baseball size. These hail stones hit hard and fast, causing serious vehicle and property damage in Colorado Springs and surrounding neighborhoods,

Later that month, on June 30, a final burst of hail reached up to 2.5 inches in some areas—marking the third damaging storm in just over a month.

We had to repair a couple of trucks twice. We got the truck looking like new, just in time for the area to get more vehicle damage.
